01 · Why Bangladesh, why now

Biman is buying aircraft. Parts and repair demand follows.

Biman placed the largest order in its history in April 2026 and added to it in September. Two of the incoming types, the 787-10 and the 737-8, are new to the airline. Both will need new component support and repair sources.

Five FOB points. One customer. One agent on the ground.

Biman asks for quotes in US dollars, FOB Singapore, Dubai, London Heathrow, New York JFK or Bangkok. The suppliers we represent ship mainly from the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. We sit at the Dhaka end of every route, confirming shipping instructions, forwarder and AWB so the part reaches HSIA with the right paperwork.

03 · What we do

One local agent for the full Biman cycle.

From the first enlistment document to the final payment advice, we handle the parts of the process that need someone in Bangladesh.

  1. 01

    Enlistment with Biman

Biman will not accept a quote from a supplier that is not enlisted. We assemble your file against Biman’s checklist, coach the submission (you email Biman directly, with us in copy) and follow up until you are on the list.

  2. 02

    Same-day RFQ relay

Biman’s e-IT RFQs close two to four days after issue, often several a week. We forward each one the day it arrives, matched to your capability list and part numbers.

  3. 03

    Quotation support

Before your quote goes to Biman’s e-IT address we check it against the terms: condition code, release certificate, FOB point, S/N, DOM, TSN/TSO, cycles, warranty and shelf life.

Biman’s stated terms are 40 days from receipt of goods. In practice payment can run longer. We follow up in person with Purchase and Finance until the invoice is cleared.

We are a sales representative, not a repair station. All certified work is carried out by our principals under their own Part-145 approvals.

04 · How enlistment works

Biman supplier enlistment is the gate. We take you through it.

Biman sends spares RFQs only to enlisted suppliers, by email through its e-IT system. They do not appear on the public tenders page. This is the process, and the documents Biman asks for.

  1. 1

    Agreement

We sign a sales representation agreement. You issue a Letter of Appointment naming Air Support BD as your representative.

  2. 2

    Document file

We build your file against Biman’s checklist and review each item before it goes in.

  3. 3

    Submission

You email Biman directly, with us in copy. We brief the right desk in Engineering & Material Management.

  4. 4

    Follow-up

We chase the review in person. Repair stations then sign Biman’s General Terms Agreement.

  5. 5

    Live RFQs

You receive Biman RFQs and quote to the e-IT address. We relay every relevant one the same day.

  1. Biman Quality Assurance Questionnaire (form EMM/QA/1401), printed in colour, signed and sealed, citing your own manuals with version numbers
  2. Latest internal or self audit
  3. Quality Manual
  4. Quality certificate, for example ASA-100 or AS9120
  5. Letter of Appointment naming the local agent
  6. Bank details
  7. Customer list

08 · FAQ

Questions suppliers ask before they sign.

Short answers on enlistment, RFQs and Biman’s terms. Ask us anything that isn’t here.

Q01

How does a foreign supplier get enlisted with Biman Bangladesh Airlines?

Sign a sales representation agreement and issue a Letter of Appointment naming your local agent. Build the document file against Biman’s checklist: seven documents for parts suppliers; for repair stations, the Part-145 certificate, capability list, MOE and more. Email it to Biman directly with the agent in copy, then follow up until you are on the supplier list. Repair stations then sign Biman’s General Terms Agreement.

Q02

Are Biman’s spares RFQs published publicly?

No. Spares RFQs go by email through Biman’s e-IT system to enlisted suppliers only. They do not appear on the biman.gov.bd tenders page. In FY 2025-26 the series reached about 550 RFQs, roughly 45 a month, each closing 2–4 days after issue.

Q03

Which condition codes and release certificates does Biman accept?

NE, NS, OH and RP. SV (serviceable) is not accepted. Every item needs an FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1. Used or surplus items also need a COC and an ATA Spec 106 traceability form.

Q04

What warranty does Biman expect?

At least 12 months for NE and OH units and 6 months for RP. Shelf-life items should arrive with close to 100% life remaining.

Q05

Where does Biman want delivery, and when does it pay?

Quotes are in USD, FOB Singapore, Dubai, London Heathrow, New York JFK or Bangkok. Stated terms are 40 days from receipt of goods. In practice payment can run longer, and we follow up in person with Purchase and Finance.

Q06

Is Air Support BD a repair station?

No. We are a sales representative registered with Biman as an agent. All certified work is carried out by our principals under their own Part-145 approvals.

Q07

Will you tell other suppliers who you represent?

No. We never disclose our principals or their pricing. Qualified suppliers can request our verification pack, shared privately after review and under NDA where needed.
